After Tsar Gorgi's death, Nova rises to his father's position of power.Once it is destroyed, he deploys a Tundran Battlestation to target Vlad's Mining Spider, joining up with Frontier and Solar POWs on the way, re-forming the Alliance of Nations. His next mission is to destroy "Ice Station X", a seismic detection platform that the Kaiser is using to search for the staff. He first saves his father's mausoleum from destruction before targeting Kaiser Vlad's naval units near Novagrad Caves. Nova appears mostly in Campaign 3, when the player takes control of the Tundran forces, and assaults the Xylvanian invaders in the North Tundra wastes, who are searching for the ancient Staff of Qa-Len. Unfortunately, he plays right into Kaiser Vlad's hands the Kaiser wanted to lure Tundra to war, wanting to weaken their forces before invading the territories in his search for the Staff of Qa-Len. Nova is content with peace, but on the insistence of Tsar Gorgi's ghost, goes to aid the Solar Empire. Marshal Nova first appears in Campaign 2, when Solar Admiral A-Qira calls for assistance in his "war of retribution" against the Anglo Isles. However, Nova is able to take Ubel into custody, throwing him into a Tundran gulag indefinitely. The two warring nations proclaim a ceasefire, and form the Alliance of Nations in order to defend against the Xylvanian menace.Īfter the Alliance of Nations seizes the Vladstag, the Kaiser's stronghold, in the final mission, Kaiser Vlad is able to escape by helicopter. Hoping to ensure Tundra's victory, Tsar Gorgi secretly made a pact with Kaiser Vlad, which was eventually broken by Countess Ingrid's Bomber attack on both armies. While he initially believes that it was the Frontier that had broken the ceasefire, he learns that it was really the Tsar, whom he angrily strips of his authority over the Tundran forces. The Kaiser intended to distract the other nations while he searched for the Staff of Qa-Len, an ancient doomsday device that once belonged to the Solar Empire. Unfortunately, the Tsar had acted on faulty intelligence supplied by Kaiser Vlad of Xylvania. His father, Tsar Gorgi, had been in power for decades, and had held a deep suspicion of the neighboring Western Frontier which sparked a pre-emptive Tundran invasion of the Frontier.
